Rex S. Hanson, age 60, of Viroqua, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 25th, 2020. He was born on May 16th, 1960 to Daniel and Carol Hanson in Viroqua. Rex had many skills, But was best at being a carpenter and roofer. Rex believed in helping people and would help anybody in need and never ask for anything in return. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. Rex knew how to work but knew how to play even harder.
He is survived by his loving companion Kathy Hatlan; daughter Kiyah (Vic); 3 sons Jamie (Anna), Joe, & Todd (Amber); 7 grandchildren; siblings Scott (Mary) Hanson, Crystal Hanson, Shari Hanson, and Boyd (Ann) Hanson, as well as many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Kali, as well as other family and friends.
A Celebration of Rex’s Life will be held on Sat, July 18th, 2020 at Sidie Hollow Park- Boat Landing side from 1-3 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in the Belgium Ridge Cemetery.
